|
|
So WI is pretty much done with watersports for the year so I am investigating the following: How many of you go wakeboarding on vacation? I have some friends in warmer climates and am thinking of planning a vacation to warmer weather...so my choices would be Dallas or Orlando- I am looking for some reccomendations for those that ride in those areas-- not looking to drag a boat down in the winter so I'd need a place to rent a ride. Any suggestions on location, time(which month would be best), and things to watch for?
Thanks

| xp85648, Florida will still be chilly (will need a wetsuit) but if you need a pull there are multiple cable parks. You could do a little cable park tour and ride a different place every day if you wanted and not have to worry about finding a boat. |

| With texas you could still hit up Wake Nation down in Houston, highs are still in the mid 70s. You wouldn't be able to just hop around between different ones within just an hour or two of driving though, there's a whole lot of highway in Texas in between the cities. |

Orlando is where the wakeboarding scene is at. you got owc and the mcormiks is in tampa, a 1 or 2 hour drive at the most _________________ Wakeboard as much as I can. I love cable and boat riding, couldn't live without either of them. I am always asking for advice and always wanting to get better |

| ZakkDaniels, I have visited Orlando From NJ in May, August, October, December, and February of different years to ride at OWC. I have never found it over crowded to make the trip bad. I get there when it opens and ride until I can't ride anymore and get my money's worth. Usually my body gives out before my pass does due to the months of not riding. Note that I have never been there for one of the contest that has been held there pro or am. |

Highs in the mid 70's and lows in the 50's right now here in Orlando. Water temp can get pretty chilly, I'd guess in the 60's. Temps in Jan are about the same or about 5-10 degrees cooler, all depends if a cold front blows through.I'd bring a suit but I'm a Florida boy and we don't do cold very well |
