I'm planning to get two skis by next summer however will often be using one at a time for wakeskating, meaning one will have to get left on the trailer or at home (want to get a dual trailer). Here's where my worries start. I'm not super comfortable leaving a ski on a trailer at the ramp but don't think there's any solution for keeping one at home unless I install a lift in my garage to lift it on/off the trailer as needed.

Am I concerned about nothing if I invest in good locks and leave everything hooked up at the ramp or is there some kind of solution for this I dont' know about?

I picked up a dual trailer for my two on craigslist for 600 bucks. I don't know what your price area is, but I didnt think that was too bad. When I had just one trailer, I had an extra futon mattress and we just moved the one down to that futon and it took like 3 of us to load it back on the trailer. Granted not the best solution, but I understand your concern for not wanting to leave it at the ramp. I have left one on the trailer at the ramp for 8 hours and nobody touched it. I did that multiple times. My friends borrowed both of them for months and it sat in their yard on the trailer while the other was in the lake for around 3 or 4 months lol. Guess its not the wakeboat so I don't care as much about it. I know its weird. I didnt leave anything valuable in the one jetski and just had a lock on the trailer and the hitch to the truck and it was never messed with.

SilverMustang35, been talking to a couple of jet-ski owners and they've been saying pretty much the same thing. Invest in decent locks and sounds like I'll be ok.

I picked up the Masterlock set that the hitch lock and trailer lock are keyed the same. It has worked without issues and 20 bucks can't beat that security.
