Pics of the wake behind my Glastron GX225 I/O. With about 1,000 pounds of ballast and outdrive trimmed up about 20%. I can live with it!

What do you think?

I will never understand why people take pictures of there wake. I really don't understand why other people can judge a picture of a wake.

A lot of people ask to see them. You can get a good idea of the boat's performace/wake this way. You can also compare wakes based on different modifications...

Strange phenomenon...I first filled the 2 Fat Buddies to about 200 pounds each-kept them in front of the back seat to avoid bringing the bow up too much-the wake was huge but raggedy. When I filled the locker sac to about 550 pounds, the wake went down but became more crisp and useable. Next time out, I am going to put the Buddies in the rear storage (next to engine) to see what I get.

You can actually tell alot from a wake pic. The first set looks clean, narrow and rampy. The second set looks washy, narrow and rampy!!!

Tomato...... That first pic looks good. You'll probably like having the fat buddies on each side of the motor and the center ballast filled the best.

I have the Volvo DuoProp with three blades on each. I'll have to look at the specs, but the first prop (closest to motor) is HUGE. The second is "normal" size...

My Reinell has the 5.0 GXI Volvo with the crappy stock prop. Where can I get a duoprop from? Looking to clean my wake up a little more.

Azwakin: The DuoProp setup is actually a completely different outdrive. If you can afford it, I HIGHLY recommend it. It gives you a KILLER launch out of the hole and adds about 5 MPH to your top end. Also, handling is greatly improved and cavitation is all but eliminated.
