Budget Wakeboard boat for WakeSurfing?

Do the 'budget' V-Drive boats in the sticky on this forum also produce a good wake for wakesurfing? For that matter, do most v-drives produce a good wake for wakesurfing? Is it mainly a matter of getting the ballast set right?

The wife won't board, but will surf. A good surf wake is the best way I can pull off getting a different boat!

Girl surfing>>>> and yeah basically any inboard boat or especially v drive boat will produce a surf-able wake with enough weight. I just imagine vdrives to require less weight with the weight already in the back and more weight just makes it bigger.
