OK lets get wakeboarding a kick in the gas.
I will start some wakeboarding tournaments here in Indiana if you all will help me judge and tell me what will spread the sport and draw the contestants. Plus the spectators Money no doubt.
I drag raced across the country and know that high dollar sport very well.
So I know I can pull it together for some grass root tournaments in Indiana.
Help me make this work. _________________ Hard Work/Work Hard = SUCCESS |

what are you asking about?
format?
scoring?
logistics? (1 pull boat, 1pick-up boat or PWC)
Funding? (charge the contestants an entry fee, not the spectators, have concessions available to make $ off the spectators.)
Advertising? (word of mouth @ the shops vs. media)
What are you asking? |

Don't forget about:
Insurance
Local permits and fees
Amenities (Food, Beverage, bathroom for spectators and contestants)
etc.
As for rules and regulations and all that stuff, contact the WWA (World Wakeboard Association). You also might want to talk to some of the guys that organize the Pro Wakeboard Tour, the Vans Triple Crown, the Malibu Series, and the X-Games wakeboard event...and yes, it's the same people that do all of them...World Sports and Marketing. 407-628-4802 is the World Publications #. Just give them a ring, they'll help you out. |

I really don't believe in wakeboarding competitions. I think they ruin the sport. I would rather see something w/o a competitive nature. |
