It looks like it is priced right around where those usually go for. Maybe you could talk the seller down a bit. Here is something you should read about what to look for in used 2001's.

Check the condition of the floor as well, see if there are soft spots. Might be hiding something under that new carpet.

I'm fairly sure that I've seen this boat for sale 3 times over the last 4 years or so. Does not have to mean anything, but... it might. Test drive it extensively, witness cold start and warm start, and have it checked by a mechanic. And yes, read that planetnautique article and memorize it!

cool thanks guys for the responses. I'm going to take my time and work through that checklist before buying anything, especially with those wooden stringers.

3MileBayWaker, what do you think he could hide under that carpet? Wouldn't I be able to feel soft spots even with the new carpet?
