Best wakeboard

Hello guys, i just want some opinions because i´m trying to buy a board. I want to know what is the best board for riding behind a regular boat (I know it depends on your style of riding, but I just want your opinion guys).

Joshua123, you are going to get different answers from everybody. At least give us some preferences of brands or some boards you are interested in so we can help you better than everybody just throwing something out.

That's super broad and tough to offer any suggestions. What price-range are you looking at? How big are you (weight & height)? Do you want something that'll just get you out on the water or something higher-end that will last a long time and still work for you as you get a lot better? Have you ridden any other boards in the past?

If you're just starting out, there are some great package (board & binding included) deals at good prices.

135 will be fine. Make sure you stick with a major brand like Ronix, Liquid Force, CWB, Hyperlite, Slingshot, etc.

Well, i really liked the new Watson Ltd, but as i´m not familiarized with these brands (as i said, just some brands from my country) i´m a bit afraid of purchasing it. I wanted to know if there´s a much better board for riding behind a boat. Don´t mind on spending some money, just want to remind that what i´m choosing it´s going to be my wakeboard for years, so i want to get some good stuff.

I wouldn't recommend the watson hybrid/ltd (or any flex board) for a complete beginner. The standard watson and watson classic are good choices for boards that will last you a long time and you'll never outgrow skill-wise.

I should also say that it's not going to be awful if you do get a flex board like the ltd, I just personally think its better to start with something more simple if you're kind of a beginner.

Josh, if you want the best board get a Ronix One, but it sounds like you want a durable board and thats the difference, the Ones are so light some people have cracked these boards in half, so for durability go for something else.

Joshua123, you need to do some looking and put up 3-4 boards that are the right size and you are interested in, then we can help you out. There is just such a large variety in boards available that we can't just throw something out there for you to like,when you can get something you love.

A lot of their boards are hybrid. Can someone tell me the main difference of a hybrid and a non-hybrid?

Hybrid can take the abuse of riding cable and hitting kickers, rails, etc, but can also ride behind the boat. Non-hybrid will typically be ridden strictly behind the boat.

hmm, okay, but non-hybrids are better than hybrids to ride behind a boat or is basically the same thing? And there´s a great difference between them while you´re riding?

Hybrids in the Liquid Force line basically designate a flex board design, vs the non-hybrid models which are more traditional rigid wakeboards. It all depends if you want flex or not. Like I said, flex is a little more of an advanced ride so if you're very much on the beginner side of things I'd go with a non-hybrid (non-flex) board to get you started.

Do you think it will last a google time and still be good while im getting better?

Joshua123, Most wakeboards are really durable and will last you a long time. The "grind" designation on LF boards mean that one additional layer of material has been added to the base to keep damage to a minimum while on sliders/rails. It won't much affect the durability of the board on just water, just keeps the bottom from getting dinged up too badly against hard surfaces.

Harley is a good board. 3-stage rocker might be a little tricky to get the most out of at first but you'll get used to it and the deck will definitely be fine for riding from beginner-advanced as you progress (you probably won't really notice since you'll be used to it from the beginning). You'll never outgrow it skill-wise. If you're not planning on riding rails all the time, you can save a few bucks and be fine on the non-grind edition. That will hold up if you hit sliders occasionally but if you're going to be at a cable park or hitting ramps/rails a lot, the grind is worth it.

buckthis, Haha, I hear ya, solid ride. Just don't want to put riders who are new to the sport on something that's not for their style. Lots of fish in the sea my friend, hate to limit someone's viewpoint to one board being the 'holy grail' when there's so much fun stuff out there.

I only know about the boards I have ridden Ronix One(with .8 in fins) is the One for me, followed by cwb db9, watson, liquid force search(1in fins, not the 2"fins that come with the board) and , there is not one hyperlite that I have tried that I would ride again!
Do not buy a board unless you have tested it!
