new boat ideas.....??

folks , how are ye doing

im in a bit of a pickle, im looking at upgrading the boat. i currently have a fourwinns 3l, no tower!!

my big concern is whether to buy an inboard ( ordinary boat) with a tower, eg..a bayliner, another 4wins, maxum etc...with a tower and a bigger engine!!! or to go totally nuts and try a nautique or masterraft etc , which id find hard to justify due to usage time(shite weather), price and fuel costs !!

i should also point out im in Ireland so to come across the usual m.crafts, ski naut, malibu and all the rest is very hard, also you could add on a couple of thousand dolars (eg, a 2007 mastercraft x2 would be about 45,000 US dollars)

any advice most welcome. im not that good at boarding yet, wake to wake 180's. trying toe side now. so basically. is a tower on a usual family bow rider sufficient.

Depends how much wakeboarding you'll be doing, vs cruising, fishing, tubing, drinking or whatever you're in to. If you'll be wakeboarding the majority of the time I'd find an inboard(/ski boat) or you'll want to upgrade anyway after a season or 2.
Consider importing a boat from the US and put LPG in. In the mean time just put a tower on your current boat. Just my 2 cents...

^^ agreed. installing a tower on the current boat is probably the best idea until something really hits your eyes

cheers guys, that was ultimately the plan when i got the boat 2yrs ago, but i started to wonder whether i was better off upgrading to a 4.3 for a bit more power over the 3litre 130hp.
i plan on selling the boat either way. so i guess its a toss up between an old nautique or mastercraft, or go for a newer maxum 1800-2200 sr3's (or something similar with a tower and swim plaatform)
