Slingshot wakeboard flex durability

Just a quick question on slingshot boards cause I'm looking to get one. I know there boards are flexy but does that come with a weakness in the shape of the board in the long term? Like will the rocker height lower or get weaker over time? Anyone who has had a slingshot for a while their opinion would be appreciated. Thanks

I think my response is a 09 or 10 - it's still solid no issues whatsoever - other than the new graphics are better

Ive had a few SS boards and LOVE them its all i will ride. The only problem ive ever had was on my 09' recoil, the bindings broke out of the board. With that being said the customer service was the best ive ever delt with and the board was out of warranty. Plus they have went with the new fast track system and its great, just make sure you tighten them up ever now and then. I have the 12' recoil now and havnt had any problems what so ever. I have a good friend that rides for SS and he says its the best boards hes ever ridden ( i know hes suppose to say that but he would tell me if he didnt like them). He use to go through other boards like crazy when he rode for other companys, but rides the same board for a while with SS. Im a huge SS fan and always tell people to go with SS so this is just my 2 cents. Hope it helps let me know what you end up going with

i have a slingshot that i have beat the crap out of. still has the spring and pop it had when it was new. used on everything from steel rails, tree stumps, wood rails, all sorts of stuff from winching. it is indestructable. will definitely be buying another.

Slingshot boards are 100% WOOD! WOOOD! There is no foam whats so over. High quality wood from a renewable tree farm in the North West.

Unlike most flex boards that have a mix of wood and foam. Foam always breaks down thats why most flex boards go limp and flat over time.

Yesterday morning I went and decided to go with the slingshot hooke at a local shop and spent all day and this morning riding behind my buddies Mastercraft X30. Pretty much fell in love with it instantly and can see why everyone who rides a slingshot supports them so much, was definitely a change of pace from my 06 hyperlite era. My buddy asked if he could ride it so i let him and even he fell in love with it after one run coming from like an 08 Byerly monarch. Ended up riding my hooke for three more sessions instead of his own. Pretty positive i made a slingshot supporter out of him as well. Definitely glad about going with slingshot and the Hooke is just unreal in every way. It is definitely not too loose, loose enough that you can pretty much force it anyway you please but no problems at all holding an edge. i know i saw on some other sites people saying they thought it felt a bit loose but in my opinion no way. I actually think i am going to try to buy the 6 inch fins from slingshot and switch them out with my 8 inch fins that came with the hooke. But thats more just because i think the board would be even more fun. Thanks for the encouragement on getting a slingshot, dont think i will be switching companies for a long time

Awesome man its good to hear im glad you like it. It would be alot of money to spend on something you didnt like. You go with SS bindings?

Yah i also got the RAD bindings in a size 10 even though i wear a size 11.5-12 shoe, but i like my shoes with alot of breathing room. I was nervous they would be too small but everyone said to get it a size down so i did and i have no regrets (yet). I also havnt heat molded the liners yet but i bet once i do it will feel perfect. Have you heat molded yours? cause I'd like to do it but dont really know what temp or for how long. Dont really want to set them on fire. It was a pretty penny to drop in one day but I've been ready to get a new set up for a while now, and had some money I've been saving for it so i splurged. The liners were kind of tricky to get into the binding at times but im guessing that will come with them breaking in.

Yeah man that's cool you went with the bindins to I've had a few different pairs of SS bindings but never heat molded any of them and now I have the KTV and they don't come with the heatable liners. So I can't help you on that part. the 2012's do seem to run abit larger than normal but I like my bindings a little loose that's why I went with the KTV so I can ride really loose or really tighten then down quickly while riding. Hope you keep liking your new stick
