Had a custom made on piece tarp done for my Sante problem is it has chipped the stuff out of the black powder coating on the top of the windshield.
Any suggestions for repair? _________________ They know what is what but they dono what is what they just strut. |

In terms of touch up? Nail polish actually works well. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

plasti-dip is the best fix for this. You can spray it on and if you don't like it, just peel it off.

black nail polish?
hmm ok.
I will be using a pool noodle to protect it from future rubbing. _________________ They know what is what but they dono what is what they just strut. |

Maybe I am confused? You want me to spray on a rubberized coating on the windshield trim which was powdercoated black?
Won't this give it a matte rubber feel? _________________ They know what is what but they dono what is what they just strut. |

Eventually your windshield trim will chip all over, not just where it is now. When sprayed on, it doesn't feel like plastic/rubber. It gives a nice matte finish. It won't chip or peel unless you choose to pick at it and remove it yourself.
I'm not affiliated in any way, just have seen this stuff used in different applications, and figured this might be a solution for you. |

hmm, ok. their site seems broken. will it blend the depth of the powdercoating? because PC is quite thick vs paint. _________________ They know what is what but they dono what is what they just strut. |

I would recommend using the black spray. It should blend with the depth as long as it is not too extreme.
You can buy it at most big box stores (home depot, lowes, etc.)
It's also available other places like summit

Just to be clear the finish will be smooth and hard? Not bumpy...
And it will stick to bare aluminum or existing pc _________________ They know what is what but they dono what is what they just strut. |
