Hey guy, I'm new here and I'm looking to buy a new board and bindings. But I have no idea where to start. My previous board came with my boat when I bought it. It's a decent board but its older (2001) and I hate the bindings. So I'm looking to step up a little. I'm not looking to spend a small fortune but I want something decent that will last. I don't care if the board and binding come as a package or separate but I do need both. So I'm 5'10 and about 160lbs. I'd say I'm a decent boarder. I can jump and clear a wake but can't do any tricks. I rode a friends board the other day and it seemed to loose. I like the way the board rode but I couldn't get the board to cut.

Sorry for the life story. But can any one recommend a board and bindings that are reasonably priced for an intermidiate. And that cuts good.

I have no preference on brand but I don't want the "Walmart special"
Thanks in advance

What was your friend's board?
It's all personal, try to ride some more boards, if possible different shapes (continuous, 3 stage, hybrid), that's the only way to find out what you really like.

It was a 2012 hyperlite union. It was nice but it took a second or two to begin to cut. I'm not sure if that make any since. I hardly know anything about wakeboards besides how to ride one

OK, so that has continuous rocker, so you might want to try some other shapes. Also make sure you ride a board that fits your weight/length.
