Hi i currently ride a old 1999 cwb tagger and am desperate to upgrade. I am just starting to clear the wake. Also i am around 5'6 and 140 pounds. I just started transitioning from just mellow wakeboarding this year. I am looking at the cwb kink 2011 for $200 on evo.com. Would this be a good board for me. Or Is there any other boards you recommend. I want an intermediate board but not really over 200 dollars. Thanks and the picture is my old board

Are you looking for board only? Is CWB boards all you ride or are you willing to go for other brands like liquid force, hyperlite, etc.

I am looking for board and bindings but am willing to use my old ones for a new board. I will definetely go for other brands this board just was a decent deal. But I really dont want to stray away from CWB Hyperlite Ronix and liquid force

If $200 is your budget, your probably best off to go with just a board, you can always upgrade the bindings later. I can't tell you any boards that are greater than others, just find a couple that are in your price range, look good to you, are the right size, and narrow it down from there. You can't go wrong with any of the manufacturers you listed. Also, make sure you don't get a grind board if you are riding behind the boat!

If I were you I would look at the Liquid Force boards. Read the reviews on evo. Also check out boardstop.com . Try and demo some boards picking a shape can be tricky and hard if you don't know what your looking for in a board.

Why the hell not? Grind base boards ride fine behind the boat.

So many things that I am not sure I can list them all.
New boards
1 going to be wider
2 lighter
3 more complex bottom features
4 variable rails
5 have a more robust inner core
6 have the new binding mounts
7 have smaller and molded in fins

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. This should be a night and day difference in the way it rides.
