I just saw a pic of a person on a tube a short ways behind a boat filming a wakeboarder on the same boat. Please excuse my ignorance if this is common. Anyone here recommend it? Any tips?

hehe, gotcha. I'm using one of the new kodak playsport cameras which are waterproof and shoot in hi def. Similar to a flip cam. The issue is that it only has a 2x optical zoon which is why I am thinking tube...

this still was takin from a tube....we put the tube rope about 5-8' in front of the handle, and just let er rip.
you sit in the tube facing backward, hand over shoulder to hang on until tube is on plane.

Me and my friend take turns filming and riding. We put the tube at like 60ft and ride at 70. The videos turn out sick in 1080p hd and all we have is a gopro which we have mounted to a lightweight monopod. We even sometimes both wakeboard at the same time and one of us holds the camera on the stick at about 8ft up looking down at the other rider. Surface tricks look sick from that angle.
