I have a chance to buy a used 09 mb tomcat f21 or a new 2013 sanger 215v for about the same price but cant find much info on the sanger. I know that the tmb is a good boat but dont know how it compares to the sanger.

I vote for the Sanger.

Great boats out of california, mercruiser engines(lots of service options), rock solid construction(still use wood, don't believe the antiwood hype), solid wakes.

Is there any wake details out there for the Sanger? I find info from waterskimag and wakeboardingmag on reviews on almost any boats but not much on Sanger. I saw a nice Sanger XTZ that looked awesome and I'm sure the surf wake would be awesome but how about the wake for boarding?

You might want to check "the other place". They're pretty popular there and I'm sure you can find wake-pics there too. Low freeboard but great boats, from what I understand.

Use the search function provided above or linked in this sentence to find a number of posts about Sanger V215s or MBs. Both boats are well made. I enjoy the V215s I have been on, they handle far better than other wakeboard boats I've driven. Never been on an MB and used ones tend to have crappy gelcoat graphics but I hear great things about them and with the integral ballast being so substantial I think that is also a great option.

If Sanger is still using Mercruizer then stay away. My boy had purchased a 2011 V210 with 330hp and it was a dog. There version of perfect pass sucked. He and I are mechanical engineers and it was frustrating for us to figure out how it works. Too many settings make it to difficult to operate. We would set the speed at 22mph and it would bounce from 27 to 18 to 25 to 20 to 23 to 22... This all took about 2 miles to stabilize. If you turned around it would wig out again. We purchased the barefoot boom and super fly high for this boat also. It would not pull him footing on the boom any faster than 41, 42 mph. With the super Fly High we could not even wakeboard. If I cut out toe side, the boat would slowdown so much i would fall over forward. Sanger had no explanation for this other than you have to work with it... There boat is great and clean and good looking. There problem is Mercruizer. He sold the boat within the year.

If Sanger reads this: Switch to Indmar and you will sell more boats.

Find a dealer and take a ride before you purchase. Make him pull you wakeboarding. Make him pull a buddy while you drive. I’ve learned from him when I purchased my new boat.
