I have a moomba outback with a monstertower. I have two 600lbs fatsacs that I put either side of the engine box. Together they weigh 1200lbs and the limit for my boat is 1155lbs. The wake is ok but it is really choppy. Could this be because it is simply too much wake for my small boat? Also i put them either side of the engine box wich is roughly in the middle of the boat should i put one in the backa and one up front instead.
Thanx in advance.
Robert

What do mean by choppy? If the water's choppy, the wake will be too. Weight that is not distributed properly will cause your wake to crumble. W/o a pic it's hard to tell what you're talking about. Try playing around w/different weight set ups to find what works best.

he probably means washed out.

the only time you can have too much weight is if your boat sinks. you many want to throw about 400 in the front to balanc ethe boat form front to back.

I would try throwing some weight in the nose to balance out what you have on the sides of the engine box.

Yeah, what's choppy? That isn't too much weight. 2500 lbs. might be too much though.

You can overweight some boat's. Some boat's will just not plain and some will get washed out. It sound's like you don't have your weight even. Remember when you bring people you have to sit them evenly to compinsate each other's weight. Hope this helps.

yeah, make sure the people in your boat are evenly distributed as well as your sacks. People sitting in wrong spots can really wash out a wake.

Yo Monster outback,
I also have an 02 moomba outback and we put a 550 in the very back compartment with one 550 right infront of that (in front of the back seat), and 2 350s by each side of the motor and I have no problems what so ever. It throws a graet wake that you can throw just about any trick off of. I am very content with my moomba and so should you. Just get your weight placement right and dont be afraid to experement. Wink
