I just bought a 2000 malibu wakesetter 23 lsv. I pick it up this thursday and am curious where is best to run the manual wedge at for wakeboarding and where is best to run it when surfing. Also if anyone knows where I can find a bimini top at, its the skylon swoop tower. I have searched around some but only one I can find is on only inboards and its $850.
Thanks, Kyle |

sounds about right from a good quality bimini. Ian at only inboards is the man, he'll take good care of you.

congrats on the boat - on the wedge - not certain about yours but ours "floats" and it finds the best spot - locking it all the way down will do very little. we actually pull up the wedge when we surf - we've found that the sweet spot moves closer to the boat with the wedge down I will admit that I'm constantly tinkering with my surf set up - I expect you'll have to do the same. whatever you do - get some weight in the front of the boat with the wedge down - good luck

We run very little wedge when we surf. We drop it all the way down and give it one bump up. We only do that to clean the wake. We use bags to build it. If you have a floating wedge I would just lock it up and add more ballast. _________________ Wakeskating

I'm not sure if its a floating wedge or not, i've been boarding for a few years but this is my first vdrive. So when I surf I should start out by filling just the back left tank and the middle one? Sounds like the bimini top on inboards will be what I end up going with because i've yet to find another one. Also any suggestions on a good tower light set up? I would ultimately like to go out and night to surf any experiences with that?

no night surfing for me - lakes all close at dusk... go ahead a set your ballast like you've indicated above - throw some weight up front and make the lightest crew member drive and everyone else sit on the left side... you'll have a great time - until the goofy guy wants to surf....
