|
|
| Hey guys I have a 2008 mastercraft x45 with the 20 minute timers on the Jabsco Pumps. All 3 pumps are acting up on me giving me 2 blinks every time I try and turn them on which supposedly means "2 = PUMP OVER LOAD (POSSIBLE KINKED LINE OR CLOGGED VENT)". Anyone ever deal with this issue? Is there an easy way to check the lines? |

I had the same issue on my 2008 x2.
I couldn't figure it out even after lots of reading and supposed solutions, I read somewhere the timers can be programmed by turning fill-off-empty a number of times in a certain order but it didnt work for me. Everytime I would switch a pump on I would hear the pump click (move slightly) and then then stop and I get 2 blinks. When connecting the pumps directly to a battery they would work fine.
I ended up removing the timers completely and replacing with relays. It was quite an easy job and works well for me. |

OK GREAT!!! I'm getting somewhere. Couple questions on the diagram and the actual wiring. So the switch has wire colors
Green - LED
Yellow - Fill
Brown - Power
White - Empty
On the diagram I'm assuming that Switch wire 1(Blue) will actually be Yellow, Wire 2 (Red) will actually be Brown and wire 3(Green) will be White on the actual switch?
What wire is the ground coming off the actual switch?
Also, the actual pump wires are Blue and Orange. Which wire should be fill and which should be empty(i.e blue and green)? |

What you said is correct. But you wont need to mess with the switches at all. You only need to mess with the timer box.
Once you cut the timers out, you will be left with those wire colors you listed, and you wire one relay with the Fill wire, and the other with the Empty wire on Pin 85.
The rest of the pins need to be wired to power and ground accordingly which there will be separate wires for in the box going to a grounding strip and a power strip.
I wasn't sure which of the pump wires (blue or orange) should be fill or empty, so I just plugged it in and tried it, if the switch works in the opposite way you can just switch the wires round. I got lucky and got it right first time |
