Picked up a wake surf last year and I love it, just need some more weight for a bigger wake. Boat is a 1990 Mastercraft Maristar direct drive. I looked up some of the fat sac sizes and the best for my set up seem to be an original fat sac that measure 50 x 20 x 20 and adds 750 lbs, along with a brick, measuring 16 x 16 x 16 and adding 150 lbs. My question is does the space I have need to be the exact same dimensions as the sac? My rear seat where I wan to put the big fat sac is shaped sort of like a "V". It's 12" deep, and 60" wide. Is it ok if the fat sac hangs over a bit? Will I not be able to fill it all the way? The space where I want to put the brick is 12" wide, but the brick is 16", same question. Is it ok to just stuff it in there? Will it put too much pressure on the engine cover and side walls?

I have used fat sacs in v-drive compartments where they did not fit exactly. just make sure that the fat sac does not put a huge amount of pressure on a side wall or distort enough to put any pressure on any of the engine parts. On some boats you just might not be able to get the full fill on the sacs you are using.

We went with two 275 lb Straightline big bags. Their shape should be better for our set up. Thanks
