My wife picked the boat out. I like the way it looks but IMO black sucks and requires way to much attention when I would rather be riding.

I love the color scheme, but black is really hot and it does require a lot of TLC. Your neighbor doesnt have a bimini do they??

I figured that was them, they are kinda notorious in that cove. The more you ride this summer you'll find out what I mean.

There have been people in the past who have complained about their etiquette. IMO someone had a bad day at the lake and took it out on the noobs. They do surf in what is known to be a wakeboard line but really it is only know to those who wakeboard.

Surfing is cool. Surfing down a line where multiple people wakeboard sucks for the boarders.

The issue comes from the rollers. When surfing down the line you put out large rollers that follow the boat down the line at around 10 mph.

The boarder will not find smooth water since the rollers continue down the line instead of dissipating to the sides. This is why wakeboarders in small places are better off following each other instead of running parallel. When following multiple boats can share the same line and no one gets rollers.

I am sure there are skiers that think the same about us wakeboarding.

Let me see if I got this...so when you surf your wake doesnt go out but down line?? I didnt know that. Yeah rough water sucks. Have you ever tried skiing??

Yep when surfing with a boat that is leaning your wake follows down the line. There are a lot of people that do not weight the boat right and surf with the rope also.

Nope no skiing or tubing for me. I have one inlaw that slaloms and everyone else boards. I get the surfer out for holidays and that's it these days.

Okay that makes sense. yeah we tube a lot because of my sibs, and we have tried to surf but that was an epic failure.

Surfing can be hard to set up my main reason for not doing it much. There is nothing wrong with tubing I have to pull one on occasion for my niece but she mostly boards now. My daughter might never get to tube if I can swing it. I hope to have on the board with me before the end of the summer. She is 2 1/2

Yeah I dont think that we set it up right either. None of my siblings really have a want to start riding. My oldest brother is 12 and might start to learn this year, but I was like your daughter and rode with my dad growing up so I love it. I used to love to tube until I learned how to ride and now I dont like it at all.

I finally got to ride today for the first time! But...I tired a wake to wake jump and failed miserably. Im not sure what I did wrong, but I ended up doing a backwards faceplant (landed on my back). Twisted my knee in an awkward way and had a big headache. Headache is gone but knee hurts. :/

Wakechick, been there... did that once and had a headache for a few days!

Funky, we have a black moomba, it's not that bad to maintain, do yall use an "Absorber"? It shines it like new in just a few min.

Great looking Supra BTW.

chawk

I did pick up two absorbers this year and they are great. Time will tell how they work when I start going to Texoma since I am on the water longer and the water spray has time to spot before I get off the lake. I started the year by removing every scratch that was on the boat followed by 3 coats of marine wax hopefully they makes it easier as well.

wakechick13

If you see me out in the cove come say hello I can prob help you out a little to get you in the right position for wake jumps. At the very least I can teach you how to fall.

haylee hope your knee gets better! I got out this weekend finally, behind an i/o w/ no tower on a choppy day. Still felt good to get out and get a few runs in. Not as out of shape as I was at the start of last season and feeling much more confident with my new board and riding w/o a center fin. Hopefully now I will have a lot more time and can get out on the boat more regularly.

Sorry flames is not mine. I did not get out this weekend with the strong winds and I rode 3 days early in the week and I am still a little sore.

We will be out of town this coming weekend then I should be out some after the holiday weekend. I ride a lot during the week in the evenings and early Sat mornings.

I clean the boat every time I leave Texoma, but honestly there is not much I can do about the ballast which is the most likely place I would cause an issue. I also never leave my boat on the lake over night. Anything left from the washing on the outside of the boat would be dead before I got back to Lewi from heat and lack of water. My boat normally sits for at least 72hours before I get out locally again.

IMHO it really is only a matter of time before all the lakes in DFW are infected. I know I have read Ray Hubbard and Lavon have them even if it was in small quantities so far. But there are streams that run out of Texoma into Lavon "besides the pipe line" and into Ray Roberts. When they get there it will be interesting to see what affect they have. My understanding is that it will suck for like 20yrs then they level off and balance back into the ecosystem. I have read they will probably wipe out the striper on Texoma which is pretty sad.

Sorry I wrote an essay, but I try and watch this stuff closely sense I travel so much to a lot of lakes in Tx Ok MO.

My question is how do they think they are going to keep them out of Ray Hubbard then the trinity?
