I used to wakeboard very frequently but got out of it for a while to get my doctorate. Just got a Sanger V215 boat and the guy was selling this 2007 CWB Transcend board with Zeus boots (not the boots in the link) for $300, think it is worth it? The board was in very good condition cosmetically.

No. Do not buy that. Used boards depreciate very quickly, and technology took a huge leap around 2009. Boards that old are heavy and clunky, and worth next to nothing. Same goes for the boots, but even more so.
I wouldn't pay more than $100 for that setup. You could do a lot better for $300. _________________ rally to the wake |

| I like the transcend boards. I have an 06 model I think. Still ride it from time to time. |

I'd like to tell the seller this myself and keep an eye on him. I know it's none of my business, but I don't want him scamming anybody. It just rubs me the wrong way to see new riders (not you) get taken advantage of. _________________ rally to the wake |

| I LOVE cruising the local craigslist for people selling wakeboards and seeing how outrageously priced they are. For $300 you should be able to get a full setup from at least 2010 in good shape. |

That's a little harder to pull off. All but the thickest buyers will do their research before buying something that big. _________________ rally to the wake |

I would not buy anything that old for that price. If I had a 2007 wakeboard at boardstop.com even in new condition I could not get $300 bucks for it!
I have some brand new CWB 2011 boards on close out in the $119 price range and up.
Try and find something on closeout from 2011. There is still a number of good items from 2011 that are on closeout. Spend more if you need but do not sink $300 in a old board.
Some entry level packages start at $299 and up in the pro shop market. We sell a large amount of entry level packages at Boardstop.com every year. I think that is money better spent than on a craigslist board. _________________ Wakeskating
