I am looking at getting a new boat I will be using it for wakeboarding and surfing and have found a 2001 wakesetter this boat needs a little work done and a 2000 mastercraft x star in good condition and just need help on what boat is better and will throw a better wake both boats are within a 1000 dollars of each other any help would be great thanks Marty

I don't think you can go wrong with either of those boats as long as they are in good condition. Take them both out and ride behind them if you can.

ok thanks the x star is in great condition and the wakesetter the told me i would need to spent about 2000 to get it lake ready so im leading toward the x star

I just bought an 2000 X-star last weekend, so i'm hoping its the best! Laughing

You'll love that boat. Great wake. Just plumb some 500lb bags in the rear hatches and throw a 500lb sac in the nose and you're money.
