The X star didn't work out for me. Might be for a good reason. I've been reading good things on this forum about the LSV and it seems like you can get newer for the same or less money. What was the year that the quality got better because of a new company taking over? I read that post once, but can't seem to locate it again...figures. Any help would be appreciated. Things to look out for, upgrades to search for, things of that nature.

It was sometime around then. I thought I read 2005??? but it might be 2003.

I believe it was way before '03 even, regardless the best hull design came in '06 and newer. a low hours loaded '06 can be had for $27-30K on average. '07 was the better year as the bling package came out and upgraded the interior significantly. look for those around $32-35K. My '07 has been ultra reliable so far, not one issue.

Did they literally call it the bling package. Just want to know what I should be looking for. Thanks so much for your help!

No i believe it's called the Appearance Package, popup cleats, stainless rubrail, stainless cupholders & grab handles. It's well worth it but it didn't start until the '07 year I think. '06 models had plastic cupholders and grab handles inside. Now all of that stuff is retro I think from an '07 to an '06 if you could find it.

Complete noob question I know, but I appreciate the help. Can any of those things come seperate, or if I see one in a pic can I know that it has all of the pkg?

I'll find the pics from the day we bought ours, I think most of that stuff is shown in them.

03 is when skiers took over. 06 is when they changed the actually hull design and size. the 06 LSV hull is identical to the 2012 LSV hull.

not sure what you're looking to spend, but someone just posted up an 08 LSV in the classifieds on the moomba forum. It's brittany blue/white hull/top, and appears to have the appearance package. 200hours, $32,500....awesome deal in my opinion.
