went out last weekend, i've got to start by getting back in wake shape, i was whooped after about 10 minutes, rode switch a little, probably going to start each set with 5 minutes of switch drills, then finish up learning a blind 1 off heel and toeside, easy to stuff to start with while we are in dry suits

Why don't you just strap on the wakeboard to get back in shape? Lot more fun than running imo.

Goals for 2012...

Get back on the water after a 10+ year hiatus.
Get a new boat to replace my old '98 Air Nautique.
Get all my inverts back and learn a few more.
Spin more.

Above all....shoot LOTS of video. I only have a handful of still pics from back in "the day" to document the years I spent wakeboarding. That will NOT happen again!

Hey dudes! So my name is Eric. I've been wakeboarding and kiteboarding for around 8 years and I want Your help to spread the word for my REDBULL LAUNCHPAD IDEA! You can vote 10x/day everyday! Click the link below to support having a wake competition with rails/kickers inside of the soon to be completed New Lincoln Reflection Pond in front of the Washington monument! if that doesnt fly backup plan is a Competition in front of the statue of liberty! Both ideas would have DJ's and live bands performing with a dance party after the sun goes down!

2012 is going to be the most depressing summer I think ever..

graduate college in two months and will be studying for the MCAT in June.

My wisdom teeth are poking through my gums now, and will need surgery on them this summer.

My ACL tear is growing worse and worse every day for the past few years and it needs to be reconstructed this summer.

So I don't think I'll be doing any wakeboarding unfortunately. And next year when I'm finally recovered I'm not sure I'll ever be 100% again and may just stick to my grabs and 180's, not attempting to progress into inverts or spins. The thought of having to deal with an injury like this again will never go away.

Been pretty depressed thinking about it lately and actually haven't come on this forum in months, maybe even a year I don't even know. Situation straight blows

Sorry to hear that, perhaps it will drive you to become an amazing orthopedic surgeon who can help others bounce back after injuries. Hey we always say even if you cant get up on the wakeboard, the worst that happens is you are stuck on the boat.

yeah, back when I hurt it, 3 years ago now, I tried to look at the silver lining you could say and I always try to tell my self that things happen for a reason. Maybe it will drive me just like you said.

It's gotta be a great feeling to have my knee back to normal whenever that may be, but I think it'd feel even greater giving those like me the opportunity to wakeboard, run, and jump again.

thanks for that baltfrog

Accomplished one of my goals today. I'm now the proud owner of a 2005 Super Air Nautique TE.

Back on the lake this weekend (and every weekend)!

SumDumGuy, Congrats! I hope to purchase a boat soon, but it will probably be a year or so. Where do you ride?

Actually signed the paperwork on the boat yesterday, but won't be able to go pick it up (it's in Florida, I'm in Texas) until the end of the month. Something about having a job and going to work......

Here's a link to the pics the owner sent me...

I can't wait to get back on the water!!
