the Red set has all the wakeskate DVDs also. If you are just wakeboarding... the black book box set is the way to go.. _________________ Wakeskating Ronix Wakeboards Wakeboarding

wakechick13, Disc 1 will have a little bit on it that you probably don't know. Disc 2 is the one that will really improve your riding right away, but you have to actually DO the drills. I have Disc 2 and it is great. My riding REALLY progressed the year I bought it. You won't be disappointed. _________________

Hidden cove is Little Elm right?? I dont think that I have rode on Ray Roberts. _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.
Hidden cove is Frisco/Little Elm. Its the cove just N of Stewart Creek. But you have to drive out in the main lake and around to it or put in at Hidden Cove Park.

Okay I know where that is! Question...how cold do you think the water is today? Im gonna ride, but dont have a wetsuit. _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.
The last time I checked it was still in the 50's. Here is a link I use to get an idea of the water temp. http://www.princetonlakespoa.com/
If you need a wetsuit, sun and ski and dicks carries them in Frisco. If you just want a cheap spring suit you can get one at Dicks for under a hundred. They are not the best by any means but they will work.

Detention: More of a 'feel' way of teaching
Book: tech way of teaching
Over at learnwake.com, they teach steps and progression and if you stray from the steps, they will refer you to 'go back and learn this because it will help you with this'.
I'm not saying it is incorrect, just different.
While both are great, its what works best for you.
IMO, go shred with people who are better than you. Don't worry if they are better than you, or if you take up there time in the water, you will learn more by riding with riders that are ten times better than you than you will from a book or video.

I would love to do that but I just need to find riders. _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.
You live in TX, right? There are tons of great riders out there. You close to a cable park?
Hang out at the ramp or watch it from time to time and see who is dropping in. Approach them and ask for a pull (remember to flash a twenty dollar bill for fuel)
Most people don't mind giving pulls in exchange for gas / beer money.

Plus shes a chic. I don't think she would have any problem getting people to take her out on the boat.

It was awful actually. I didnt get the chance to ride b/c our boat died on us as soon as we got to the cove to ride We were stuck for 2 hours before we could get it started again, and once we did we headed straight back to the ramp. :/ _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.
Those type of boat days happen. It sucks. 2 consecutive Labor Day Weekend holidays we had to put the boat away because of an O2 sensor and a warning light on our boat.

You can find a ride!!!! There are tons of people who board around you that are your age. I have seen quite a few teens at Hydrous the couple time I have been there, plus there are tons on the lake all the time if you see someone introduce your self at the boat ramp, on the lake etc.... The wakeboard team that is around the corner from you along with the few contests that are held in Stewart Creek are all good places to meet people that can help you with a ride.
And if you meet some new people remind them no powerturns.

Oh really? Okay so tell me about cable parks. _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.
Here is a video of someone riding at Hydrous. Riding a cable IMO is pretty different than riding boat. But you can learn a lot of things that work in both places.

I think it would be kinda cool to check out. _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.
