Okay so some of you guys/gals were telling me about learnwake.com, The book, and Detention 2012...so I was wondering if anyone knew anything about any of these. From what they said it sounds like two really good dvds but still kinda confused about the website. Any knowledge would be awesome! _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.

Have you seen the video on their homepage yet http://www.learnwake.com/?
I'm a member there, the amount of info there is amazing. Tons and tons of great instructional videos, rider-videos, a forum where you can post a vid of your own where they'll comment on or even do a video analysis of it (have to see it to know how valuable that is). I'd say subscribe and you can always cancel if you don't want it anymore. _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica
Detention is an awesome video, and Shaun Murray is very entertaining to learn from. His instructions are thorough and the video is entertaining enough to watch just for fun.
The book is like a book of instructions. It is very very thorough and takes you through each move in depth. It's not something you could really watch for fun like Detention, but it is a great learning tool.
The book has a longer list of tricks and is a much longer set of videos than Detention.
Both are good videos and it's personal preference in my opinion.

No I havent yet, but I most definately will! Video analysis such as telling you want to change and what not? That would be cool. So unlike here, practically everything is video based? _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.

michigan boarder, So Detention is more of a fun instuctional where as The Book is in depth correct? I think that personally I could learn better if it went in depth. _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.
Yes, that is correct. The book is almost overwhelming in my opinionn with the amount of information you can get from it, but if you stick with the drills and tricks in your comfort level then it is a very informative and helpful video.

The book covers all levels of riders Im guessing? That would be awesome though because you can work your way from the bottom up. It can give me something to challenge and teach myself with. _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.

I will have to look into getting both of those then. I was told that boardshop (not sure what that is) or ebay had them... _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.

Next question is when I clicked on the link for The Book...do you think I should start with the getting started? _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.

So the link you posted is the disc you think I should look into? Because I can as you said get up, ride, and move wake to wake. _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.
Yeah I would probably look into that one. But I found the whole set for sale in the classifieds so if I was you I would wait until this person responds if he still has them available. Or you can send him a pm (private message). Do you know how to send one?

Someone else on here does too but if I dont hear back from him I will most definatly keep you in mind! _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.
OK, just let me know. I have the entire set, but bought them when I first started to learn how to ride. Just watched the first one mostly and parts of the second one. After that, it gets way over my level. It is definitely full of good information no matter what level you ride at.
Yes, very helpful. Especially the first disc. I already could get up consistently and carve and ride switch decent. But seeing the very basic fundamentals helps your riding more than you think. They show you a lot of good drills to practice your basic riding skills that must be correct to progress to bigger and better things.

See I think that the first video would be helpful for me. I can get up and ride and move wake to wake but thats about it. _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.
I found a lot of helpful tips in disc 1. It is very basic stuff, but some things that I never thought about that really improved my riding. If you're interested in my dvd's, I will sale them for $25 including shipping. I think I paid $50 for them, so that is half. They are in perfect condition in the original hard case. If you've already committed to buy from someone else, that's cool too.

Yeah I think it would be cool! I pm'd him saying that I wanted to but I have not heard back from him since. And he doesnt have the first disc. _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.
I sell both detention 2012 and the book box set on boardstop and boardflix. The book box set is the best instructional to buy. Detention 2012 is probably the next best. I would not buy the single issues of the book box set. For the price of one DVD you would get more bang for your buck going with Detention. If you want to spend less than the book complete set go with Detention 2012. _________________ Wakeskating Ronix Wakeboards Wakeboarding

Good to know...I think that if I am going to get The Book the set would be cool. _________________ A little part of me dies inside every time I see an $80,000 Malibu Wakesetter pulling a tuber.
