Hey, so I've been looking to upgrade for years and have been looking at a few Super Air Nautiques lately. I'm aiming for 2001-2003. I've been riding behind a 1988 Ski Nautique 2001 all my life and the boat just doesn't even come close to cutting it. I've been doing a lot of research about these boats but it's hard to find some stuff, especially what I'm looking for...

First, what are the factory ballast specs?

My major concern is the wake. I know the belly ballast tank is only paired with the Team Editions but I've read on a few posts on forums that people have ended up removing the tank anyways because they are able to fit a large sack that weighs much more in the belly storage space. Is this true? If this is the case, then I'm not going to really focus on finding a Team Edition.

For the rear, I've read about the wedge tanks (Team Edition) and the normal tanks. My biggest concern is the storage space available beside the engine in the storage compartments. I know for a fact that the factory ballast alone isn't going to cut it and I'm going to be adding bags back there. But I have no idea how big these compartments are and what they're capable of holding.

I'm looking to get some pics of the storage compartments in these boats so I can get a better understanding of what I'm looking at. I really appreciate anybody's help!

**Also, anyone in the Northeast looking to purchase a beautiful blue 1988 Ski Nautique 2001 that has been completely rebuilt during the spring of 2007 (including a new engine), contact me.**

Believe belly + wedge tanks = 850#

Belly tanks & wedge tanks were available on all models, just standard on team packaged boats.

I have an '03, but no pics of the storage...

think the belly and wedge tanks are actually 900-950, you could take all the tanks out and add some 750 sacks in the rear and put the biggest bag you can find in the belly, or leave the factory stuff in place and add this kit on top of them, http://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-air-nautique-wakeboard-ballast-system.html, gets you an additional 1600lbs

Thanks for your help guys! Does anybody have any pictures of their interior set up they can post?

Also, is anyone using the Fly High Pro X Series Additional Ballast System? It looks like a pretty solid deal!

Thanks in advance!

Not the best, but they'll work in a pinch.... I'll look around and see if I can find something else... These are from last year, giving her a Spring Clean... Please disregard the spots, they are on the lens.... Embarassed

Oh how I love my boat..... Very Happy

Do you know what the distance is from the tongue of the trailer to the back of the swim platform?

ours is an '02 non-team edition with the wedge tanks in back. We're the original owners, and was so close to putting her up for sale today, as we were so tempted to put a deposit down on a new boat yesterday at the boat show. We love our Nautique, just eventually want something with a larger seating capacity...

tommyg, You have a beautiful boat. It looks great for an '02. How many hours do you have on it?

Thanks! We're right at about 300 hours. We have small kids (6 and 4), so we end up spending a lot of time at the beach versus boarding as much as I'd like.

Looked at the new 210 at the Boat Show in Sac this past weekend...beautiful boat, but hard to believe that the asking price is now 2x what we paid for our boat brand new 10 years ago!

Man, I see no reason at all to get rid of that beauty for a stiff boat payment!
