what changes has the mastercraft 205 hull made through out the years? What years are better than others and what years did they change? Also what year did they change to all fiberglass and no wood?

Thanks for the help.

Wood stringers went out mid year in 83 I believe. Here are a couple of good resources of the changes made by year. Last hull change was in 1996. Wrap around seating was added in 2000, but most people don't like that tower. 3 piece sun deck was added in 2001 and that was the first year of the new dimension tower. If I had the choice, I would look for a 2001-2002 xstar or a 2003-2005 x2. The board racks sucked in 2003, but you can swap some newer ones in for $300 or so. The 2005 tower is nice, but that model year is a little more expensive.

I think you mean 93, not 83 on the elimination of wood, right?

So, they eliminated wood in their stringers roughly 10 years before most of the other manufacturers?

Yeah, mid year 83 is when they switched to fiberglass. Lots of threads on teamtalk confirming it. It looks like they used fiberglass wrapped wood for the floor and seat backs for a few years after that, but all stringers were fiberglass from sometime in 1983 onwards.
