|
|
Came across this forum again a few days ago at work. Guess I joined here back in 2009 when I was first looking at getting a ski boat.
Fast forward 2 1/2 years and I sold my 2010 Tige 22Ve and ordered a Tige 2012 Z3. I thought I would share with you guys the build pics that Jean Wagner at Tige has been sending through out the build process. Most if this I will copy and paste from the Tigeowners.com forum, so enjoy...
Placed an order on Jan 12 for a Tige Z3. Working with Forte's Inboard in Largo, FL. Same dealer I bought my '10 Ve from 2 yrs ago. Worked a trade on the Ve and the order was placed with Tige. All this was done via email, pics, and videos while I am in Afghanistan. Tony at Forte's was patient, professional, and great to deal with while I put everything together.
We have a tentative completion date of Feb 20th, and I will be home mid March to pick it up from the Forte's.
Here are the options I chose to go with on the Z3
6.0L 409HP Cat Motor
Flex Paint Scheme
Boat Cover
Stainless Steel Rub Rail - Grey
EIDB System (Dual Batteries)
Salt Water Steering
Salt Water Flush Kit
Fresh Water Strainer
Docking Lights
2 Underwater Transom Lights
Pro Ballast System - 2300 lbs
Custom Color Alpha Z Tower - Stone
Clamping Swivel Surf/Wake Racks - Black
Tower of Power w/Rev 8s
Transom Display Remote
Surf Bimini Top and Boot - Black
Tower Accent Lights
Custom Color Rev 8 Rings - Stone
Carlotta Steering Wheel
Billet 180 Mirror w/Bracket
To be Removed from Ve for Install on Z3
WS-420
Acme 1235 Prop
ChpThrll Custom Sacs for Ve rear lockers. (not sure on how these will fit in the Z3 yet, but we will find out)
Pro-Sport 20 Battery Charger/Maintainer
Trailer
Standard Z3 dual axle
Side Mount Spare Mount w/Wheel and Tire
Stone and Red Pen Striping
The Final color combo...
Tower is Stone and Rev8s will have Stone Rings on the front.
The Boatmate Trailer was delivered yesterday, and Mark Gibbs (formerly Tige, now Boatmate) threw in the diamond plate on the fenders and steps. Looks sharp!

Thanks guys, I will definitely keep the pics coming.
Flixmaster - Surf pics will abound! We are changing the stock setup of 2300lbs of ballast to closer to 4000lbs. Taking out the 350lbs rear locker bags and putting ing 1200 lbs bags on each side. We we will be plumbing in an extra fill pump, vent, and empty pump on each side to cut down on fill and empty times with that much water on the rear lockers.
Stock, I have seen pics of this thing putting out a monster wave, can't wait to start working on our wave setup. |

Gonna throw some 18's low profile tires, and a splash of diamond plate here and there, and that trailer will be just fine... |

Just an amazing process from start to finish. Love it how all the boat companies in our industry actually make them. They get their hands dirty and build something! Great looking boat. the trailer does need an upgrade. _________________ Wakeskating

Tony took these for me as they took her off the transport trailer, and as they got it all put together.
I just know you washed your hands Kevin...LOL
Clamping Wake/Surf Racks
Color matched ring on the Rev 8s
Billet 180 Mirror
That is sharp looking, Thanks Tony!
Another great shot of the Ve we traded in for the Z3

Ok I have to be honest, I have NEVER liked what Tige has brought to the table. But this boat is absolutely beautiful. I would be STOKED to have this in my garage. Really nice boat man. _________________

Thanks again guys... I am heading home from Afghan next week. I am having some ballast upgrades done that I wanted. So I am hoping I can go pick it up around the 12th or so.
Once I pick her up and get it on the water I will update with some action shots. |

| Guma I know you said your doing some surf ballast upgrades but I would love to see what the wakeboard wake looks like as well. I was really impressed with the Tige boats at the boat show this year. I am however wondering how good the wakeboard wake is when sacked out. When you get that far along would love to see some pics. |
