Eastbound and Down

Does anyone watch this HBO show?

For those of you that don't but have HBO, I highly recommend it. rocko introduced me to it and I've been hooked since. It unfortunately just ended its first season but it was only 6 episodes long but all the episodes are available On Demand or check out some clips on hulu or youtube.

The main character Danny McBride who was in Superbad, Hot Rod, The Heartbreak Kid, Tropic Thunder, Pineapple Express, plays Kenny Powers, a former major league pitcher. After he loses his pitch, he moves in with his brother's family in a small town in North Carolina. He takes a job at the middle school as a gym teacher and reconnects with his high school sweetheart who is engaged.

The show is so worth watching! It's a 30 minute show and wouldn't take long to catch up. Definitely give it a shot.

I'm a huge fan myself, I find it hilarious. I was watching the making of the show and alot of it is done improv, especially the scenes with Farrell. I love almost everything HBO puts out. Anytime an HBO show gets mentioned on this board though, its always "well its no Sopranos"...

Rhawn, I was never into the sopranos. It started before I really knew about it and I never felt the urge to catch up and spend the time. I love Entourage, definitely my favorite show but I will surely keep up with Eastbound and Down.

The Will Ferrell episodes were great. I'm really looking forward to the next season. I hope it comes out this summer.

I have been watching this for a while. I loved when he dumped the topless chick off his seadoo and made her swim back to shore.... or the barbecue episode was pretty good too

I saw the first episode and thought it was too over the top. That guy kind of gets on my nerves.

I've heard a lot of people like it though. I may download the first season and watch it eventually, we'll see.

Every epsiode kept getting better than the first one. The finale was awsome, I couldn't stop laughing when the "agent" from Tampa showed up.

I was gonna make a thread about this the other night. I think it's a funny show. I caught up on it sunday and then watched the season finale. Danny Mcbride is just a funny guy

i watched all of season 2 yesterday and caught the new episode last night. it's kind of like jersey shore or any other trashy tv. i don't particularly enjoy it, but i can't not watch it when it's on.

i did like the scene where he's boogy boarding with the surfers though.

This was closer to Season 1 in my opinion and was a good start to the season. Jason Sudeikis killed it and was the best part of the episode I thought. Hopefully he sticks around and plays a sizeable part.
