WakeSetter hands down. Not a big fan of all black boats, but the drive and ride of the Setter, and the wake are fantastic.
But as you can see, our opinions are going to vary, drive'em both and rock what YOU like. They are both great boats regardless.

| I have ridden both also and I love a fully weighted vlx. It's personal preference really though.

Personally not a pickle fork guy, but the lines on the tower of the axis are way cleaner and nicer looking IMO. Also liked the toned down decals. Nice buy

We sell a bunch of the axis bags on boardstop. Get the extra ballast kit if you do not already have it. Wake will be impressive. If you have not see axiswakeboardboats.com check it out.

JRW160,
But the Wakesetter was an '09 with over 600 hours on it...VS. a brand new boat with less than 10 hours and full 7 year warranty???? Am I missing something?

That Axis looks awesome! Have you gotten it wet yet? I know new boats have a break in period, can you even wakeboard when in the break in period? I've never had a new boat so I don't know but I DO know that it would be killing me to have such an awesome BRAND new toy and not be able to use it immediately haha.
Congrats!

As explained to me by my dealer/mechanic, the best way to break them in is to use them. i.e. Ski, wakebaord, wakesurf... etc. This way you are varying the rpms, and not holding a steady RPM for more than a set. The biggest thing he told me NOT to do was to take it WOT for any long length of time during the first 25 hours.
I will caveat this by saying, there are many opinions on this, you ask 10 people, you will probably get 8 different answers. I have had 2 new boats and the above is the way I "broke" them in when I got them.
Nice Axis, and sounds like an even better deal!

unless its a race car, ^^^^ is the best way to break it in. if its a racecar, high reving bike, performance engine the best way is to run the piss out of it. run it hard. it seats the rings better.
