Depends on the boat. If you're in an inboard and want to make it steeper, put more weight up front.

Naw, I think you mean put more weight in the back. Putting more weight in the back creates a Vert wake (Steeper). Weight in the front will make a ramp wake. But you have to remember that you need to balance weight front and back...Too much weight up front will wash out your wake. Too much weight in the back will affect your boat's performance. Just play around with weight locations and figure out what works best for you.

Good luck...

I knew what you meant! What I did to get my weight setup is borrow a buddies side sacs. Put them in different places in the boat. Found out what worked best! Its really a trial and error process.

I agree with Geoff- mess around with combos till you get what you want. My 89 Supra had a good shaped wake @ 19-23, but I wanted it taller so I put a fat sac in the back, then made 4 4' concrete PVC sections and 2 2' sections. The 4' went up front, the 2' stay on the sides of the boat that need the weight. They are easy to move around and they work great. Total cost of fat sac + pump + PVC weight = $220.

Cool, but like someone said ou need to use trial and error to find out the best placemement for your fat sacs. In answering your question, sacs will definetly help the size ans shape of the wake if you place them correctly in the boat.
