Okay, stupid question of the day time. I bought a shower attachment for my laundry tub that hooks up to your standard hose bib type thread, but I've discovered my laundry tub faucet has this shitty little thread that it won't fit on. Do I need to replace the faucet, or what are my options here?
Threads don't look like garbage, they just look filled with calcium from the water. A scrub brush, brillo pad, or other abrasive pad might help remove the junk to allow something to grab the threads.
From the looks of the pics I've seen, and due to the fact that I am an expert plumber, my expert advice says that ONT needs to replace all of the plumbing in his house and all the way back to the city main.
He should also make sure to get a set of 5/8" ball bearings because everything is going to ball bearings these days. _________________

You didn't remove the faucet and take it with you along with the hose to fit everything up correctly? _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?

ont, just take my expert advice. Rip out all the plumbing and start over. Mike Holmes would do it that way, so it must be the only acceptable path to correcting your problem. _________________

Faucets are no fun to R&R, take it from me. My kitchen faucet spray you every time you turn it on, we have been living with this for a year and a half and it hasn't bothered me enough to fix it yet. _________________ Brent B

No, dude. I thought the hose was the standard garden hose size... like pretty much any hose you buy. So I got an attachment for the spout the goes to a standard hose. Oh well, I can hook up a regular hose to it now and flood my backyard into a hockey rink I guess.
eeven73, you are correct sir. Dude goes super-overkill on everything because he doesn't have to pay for most of it. He does put his own money into stuff though and lives just up the road, so I can't badmouth him too much.
ps - i'm still happy because i came home with a new crockpot and 40" tv.

See what you get for thinking? Should have taken the whole faucet to the store to get it right. Or, maybe chavez is on to something...maybe the whole plumbing needs to be replaced. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?
I have ADD leave me alone. I'm already past this and looking up crockpot recipes.
Check out this thread. I posted a bunch of our favorites and there were several others, also. I've found some other good recipes online, too. Love the crock pot...especially this time of year. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?
