Dragonlady or Kyle's opinions would be helpful (not so much kyle) but anyone else is welcome too.

Should I just rip this off, or leave it???

I predict that you will be UNABLE to just leave it.

I just ripped a bit of toenail off. I wanted to leave it, but I just could not.

Hi E.J., long time no chat. I'd be glad to answer your question.

One side is still very much intact as the initial impact was to the right. See Figure A.

Ouch. I say you're going to eventually have to take it all the way off.

Been there....many times. Cause of injury? Do you go with the hot paperclip, drill or ????

Usually at that point, you can get it off pretty easy, though the angle I am getting is not great..... On a toe, I may get away with it lasting that long, but on my hand, I'd be messing with that like a methfiend.

Superglue. I've used it for that and also in lieu of stitches on a few occasions.

You didn't ask about cost....Laughing If I did the hot paperclip on someones finger in my home, there is no cost. Here, under the "mi casa es su casa" program, these type of in-house procedures are covered....food and drink is also usually included in all medical procedures.

If in their home, cost is 2-3 beers or a nice 3-4 finger drink. That is under the "If I'm going to chance blood spurt, I get a few drinks" clause/program.

Ouch on the puck...
