Even if it has a fancy Wakeboard tower on it!
I/o's do not hold their value like inboards, so it worth it to spend the extra money to buy an inboard. I sold my 99Malibu response earlier this year for $11,500 and now its probably worth $13,000. That response threw out a great wake and I did learn to surf behind it! try that behind an I/O! Anyways since this is a wakeboarding site and I don't know anyone who has sold their inboard to get an I/o, I think its fair to warn any potential first time boat buyers to go ahead and get a good used inboard Wakeboard boat and save them alot of headaches. _________________ Live to Ride, ride to live |

I work on a lot of boats.....................Another reason to get an inbord. Pretty much every boat I have to fix is an IO!!! _________________ www.slobgear.com

| buckthis, Much more appropriate thread and I'll agree with this statement since it's directed towards wakeboarders. I can think of very few exceptions where an I/O would be a better fit than an inboard and none of those exceptions involve wake boarding. |

msimpson, thats what I'm talking about! I had no problems with the malibu response for ten years, awsome and I could have sold it for 13,000 but got tired giving people free rides to test it out. Summers are short up here and didn't want to waste my time. I wouldn't be ripping on I/o's but I owned one and every year I had to take the outdrive off to lube the U-joints, what a pain in the arse. Also, the wake on my response was just as good as my 2005 VLX. _________________ Live to Ride, ride to live |

I totally agree with you, Steve. I've owned 2 I/O's, then upgraded to the 08 Nautique sv211. Never going back to a I/O. _________________ He who dies with the most toys wins. |

| you obviously do not know what you are talking about. I/Os are way better for many reasons. I think they throw a better wake so I stick with the I/O. We put 500 lbs in my bayliner and it is a sweet wake, very steep and firm and not to mention the I/O burns way less fuel. |
