Alrighty
Applying to grad school up at Pitt and my chances of getting into the program are pretty good.
So before I take the giant leap into the rest of my life, I want to do a huge wakeboarding blowout.
I already have a large sum of mula saved up (with plenty more to earn too) so I'm thinking of meeting up with my old French friends and do a Tour de Wakeboarding in France and hitting at least 3 or 4 cable parks within the country. My friends are all in for me teaching them the sport and making a road trip of it. I really want to test my video skills and make some sort of documentary about the sport within France and Europe. I plan on going mid late July and staying for most of August. Making it back before grad school.
Any suggestions? I don't ever plan anything, but I'd like to work out the details ahead of time to make it go as smooth as possible. As smooth as an American can get in Europe.
Just tryin to live that dream! |

Thanks!
What's a cable park like? I think I'm going to buy a wetsuit just so I can hit it early this year. Closest one to me is in Cinci and I've got friends in Louisville I can stay with to cut the drive in half. I heard it'll make you a bamf on the water in no time. |

J Wak, that sounds like an awesome trip!
As far as cable parks, I can tell you that its different from riding behind the boat. I don't know what your skill and experience levels are but be prepared for an "adjustment period" as you get accustomed to riding the cables. Starts and turns can be a bit tricky at first.
The first time I rode at OWC I'd only been wakeboarding for about 6 months so I was definitely a beginner. I was able to pick it up fairly quickly, which is to say after a couple of hours of practice I could make an entire lap without falling.
I'd definitely recommend getting in as much practice at Wake Nation as possible before you go. That way you'll already have a handle on it when you get overseas. Wish I was going with you! _________________ Hilton Head Wake Sports.com
