and i had great fun! these pics are from wednesday, behind a somewhat smaller boat with no tower, but it was so much fun! i've been riding cable since last year, behind the cable. Now i tried riding behind a boat and it is good fun! A 20 minute set behind a wakeboard-boat is mad expensive over here, so i'll just be riding behind this boat a couple of times.
I can't offer any tips on your technique from those pics. Post a vid and maybe I'll have something to say. Nice grab though! Good to hear you're liking boat riding!
Be sure to try some lipslides and wake carves. They're super fun! _________________ rally to the wake
Where you located Liks? Across the pond it sounds like...
Your cable riding looks smooth, awesome 360 and poke you did!
For the boat you are riding behind it looks like they are going a little slow, the wake is washed out even on the side you're jumping from. Sometimes it may wash out on the side you are jumping to as you pull against the boat, but it should never be washed out on the side you are jumping from.
Not to pick on you, but you asked for advice...your tail grab is sloppy. A real tail grab is on the tail of the board, not to the side. I used to grab to the side too and I had the #9 pro in the world ride behind my boat a few weeks ago and he critiqued my style, etc., and that was one of the things he said. Just friend advice!
thanks dusty! I am located in The Netherlands, across the pond indeed!
i noticed i grabbed my "tail" from the side myself. then i went to the park last saturday (vid) and consequently started grabbing actual tail! looks way better and i'll be making a point out of doing that!
as far as the speed, i'll ask the driver to go a lil bit faster next time to see what it does with the wake. it's not a wakeboard boat by any means, just an outboard speedboat.
Ah, ok. If its an outboard then speed may not clean it up the same...I can't say for sure as I do not have experience with the wake of an outboard. I am positive more weight would help make the wake bigger...if you can bring some friends! _________________ My Facebook
Generally speaking you want 60-70% of the weight in the rear and the rest in the front. Again I'm speaking from experience of balancing out a wakeboard boat, it might be different on an outboard (but probably not). If you don't have a friend that wants to go throw bags of concrete in the boat. I don't know if you have concrete cheap in The Netherlands, but in the USA an 80 pound bag of concrete is about $3. Makes a great "person" for $3 and you don't have to listen to them! _________________ My Facebook

you want to weight an i/o, or ob the oposite of a vdrive. you want most of the weight in the bow, and clean up the wake with the trim _________________ trying to find a $5-7K usable saltare if anyone knows of one.
