So my buddy, pops, and I are all thinkin about cashing in on tower speakers for the boat. They are pretty neat, but can you actually hear the music your playing as your wakeboarding? I imagine you can because I generally can hear the music of other boats.

absolutely you can, just be sure you properly match the amp and speakers, don't buy some $1000 speakers and then throw a cheap $200 underpowered amp on there, there are two meatheads that hang out on the sandbar every weekend that put up 4 MB Quart speakers on the tower and put some piddly two channel amp from BestBuy on there to power them, they sound awful because they like to crank country music and it is all distorted, it can't be more than a 50w x 2 amp, everybody hates to see them pull, underpowered speakers get really distorted just remember that

Yeah you can hear the music. It makes it extra enjoyable to ride to your favorite jams.
