Are velcro boots such as the Liquid Force Vantage good? What I mean by good is if velcros are able to tighten boots as much as laces or laces is the way to go?

Personally, I prefer laces over velcro. You can tighten the Velcro on the vantage bindings fairly well but I don't feel like my heel is as secure as it is with the laces on my transits. Velcro bindings can be a benefit if you ride at a cable park fairly often since they're easy to tighten and loosen

Ok then no velcro boots becuase an option I had for a package was the LF Watson classic, but this one comes with the Vantage OT which are velcro boots. So that leaves me with the LF Harley, LF Witness, and Byerly Monarch. The only problem I have is that ive heard the LF Harley lands very hard on the flats and Ive already had an surgery on my meniscus (not wakeboarding), but still are meniscus in big danger when wakeboarding? If they are, or not what would be my best choice from this 3 boards?

I ride the harley currently and rode the monarch last year, and if I had to choose I would go for the harley on every account. It definitely lands easier than the Monarch.

I don't have any experience with the Witness, but I know a lot of people really enjoy that board.

We have a pair of the Vantage CT boots here, and I don't see any issues with the velcro having issues holding, but they haven't seen a ton of use to be completely honest. I tried to get the new Vantages this year, but my local pro shop didn't carry the new ones, so I ended up getting the Watsons (which I'm liking a lot).

Cable or Winch: Velcro rocks

Boat: Laces = more support....and who cares how long it takes to get in/out

I don't want to say the Monarch landed hard, just that it lands harder than the Harley does. I haven't seen anyone say the Harley lands hard either, so not exactly sure where you're getting that information from.

Anything landing in the flats is always going to land harder though, so if you're that concerned I'd say try and land on the transition more often.

You could always do what I did and pick up that Watson package with the Vantage and use the bindings on an old board for cable. I got a sweet deal on the package and then got some Ronix Ones to ride behind the boat. Laces definitely behind boat because the velcro just wont tighten down as tight as laces.

I have velcro for behind the boat and love it. In all honesty the velcro will most likely last longer then any laces will.

As for everyone saying they aren't snug enough. I find I just have to do the top strip up in the water while waiting for the boat to get tension in the line. I wouldn't say I prefer them over laces by any means but I would likely go for another velcro set whenever these wear out.
