I recently moved to East Texas and live about 15 minutes from Sam Rayburn. I'm looking for some local wakeboarders to hang out with. I'll take a pull or give a pull. I have an old ski boat that I ran a lot at home, but I don't know this area well and don't want any run-ins with stumps. If anyone knows of a good stump-free river, I'll take suggestions for that too.

Just looked at the map, not as close to Rayburn as I thought I was! It's an hour and 1/2 from here. I've never been there so I cant offer any advice on stumps. If all else fails, head up this way. The local lake aint bad.

Which lake are you close to? My grandparents have a house on Lake Murvaul and we ride out there occasionally. But it's about 1.5 for us too. And we have some friends we ride with on Lake Palestine. Those are the only East Texas lakes I've been on though.

I'm 13 miles from Murvaul. I ride on Lake Palestine on my days off. Do you know of any wakeboarders in Lake Murvaul area?

That's cool. I know there are people out there, because I see them riding when we go. Some of them have pretty nice boats too...Super Air Nautique, Malibu VLX, Moomba, etc. But I don't know any of them personally, so I couldn't help you out there. But, if you'd ever want to meet up to ride, I can let you know when we're out there. Usually if we ride, we try to go early in the morning or late in the evening by the dam, because there are no stumps there.

Palestine is low but still good. The stump fields are fully exposed. Just be careful around points and at ramps. If you do go to Palestine, PM me and ill give you more specifics.
