27 here, just picked it up this year. Been wanting to for years but always had an obligation in the way :/ Picked up a Hyperlite Divine board with Ronix bindings (last years model). Started the first few runs with fins, took 'em off recently, might actually put 'em back on lol Some things are easier with, and some easier without. But so far 50/50 no happy medium. I unfortunately haven't got any wakeboarding buddies or a special boat to ride behind just dads bowrider (no ski pole either) and 50ft ski rope ... So it's a little challenging... lol But I'm still having a blast learning!!

21, got my first board when I was 16. I've been riding behind my family's 17 foot outboard and have loved every bit of getting into the sport. Someday hope to own an inboard, but college comes first Confused

Feel you on that..

21, hurt my knee two years ago on a 360.. after off and on knee pain over the years i talked my parents into finally getting an MRI. Showed a complex tear of my meniscus and a very thin/stretched ACL. Likely gonna need reconstructive surgery this winter..

Only been wakeboarding three times all summer. I graduate next spring.. very sad thinking about how little I've been wakeboarding and how it might be even less next summer Sad

yeah man i know where your comin from too. i only rode 4x before i broke my ankle, now it looks like the next time ill be able to take a set (if i can teach my friends to drive smart and responably) will be late aug-early sept Crying or Very sad .... but thats what i get for being drunk and diving into the shallow end of a pool at 2am attempting to retrieve my iphone4 Embarassed

34 here...skurfed a few times in the late 90s, got serious in early 2000s. Several injuries over the past couple years, but not giving up anytime soon. Can't beat a day on the lake.

Oldest guy I've ever seen wakeboard was a 70 year old retired surgeon that took up adventure sports when he was like 65ish. I gave him a couple lessons, and he did suprisingly well. Everytime he wrecked, I cringed a bit thinking, "Oh man, I hope he didn't just break something" Laughing He told me about skydiving, bungee jumping, and several mountains he had climbed the past couple years. Pretty inspiring dude.

25, been riding for 5 years. I've only been really serious about it for 2 though. The first 3 years were on other peoples boats and I basically learned to get up and carve, only got out a few times.

Last year I thought I had gotten my w2w down but this year I'm questioning myself. I'm still easily w2wing but I'm just trying to find ways to go slower, get more pop, etc. I also can't seem to figure out how people get that crazy ass air. My goals for the season are a couple landed back rolls(I can get my feet under me but cant seem to hold on), a raley, tantrum and hopefully a toeside 3. I also hope to have switch riding down this year as well.

26, been riding for 10 years maybe a few more but only seriously up until 3 or 4 years ago. I've seen a lot of progression. I plan to wakeboard the rest of my life. If my knees give out I'll find a way. If it ends up being too high impact i'll just take up footing or slalom.

Still love to ride today as much as I did back then. Only difference between now and then is I've forgotten more tricks then I try now a days.

32. First ride was in 1997 on some crappy board by cousins had with universal bindings. Got serious in 01. Blew my acl, lateral and medial meniscus in my right knee in 04. I'm riding more now than I ever have. That a22 wake is just too good!

I turn 42 next weekend. I learned to ski at age 11, and went out on a regualar basis well into my 20's. I bought an older i/o in '04, and skied that first summer. At the beginning of '05 season I found an old Connelly Blade runner(looked like a small surfboard with sandels screwed onto it lol) at a garage sale. I think I only got up on it 10-12 times out of 100's of trys. The next summer I bought a more modern board, '01 Hyroslide Matrix, popped out of the water first shot, rode that for a few weeks then went to a '07Hyperlite premeir. Broke the '07, got it replaced with an '09, then won one of the Murray PIF boards off facebook. Broke the Murray a few weeks ago, found the exact model/year on sale for 170, so I'm still rding a '09 Murray.

I'm 46 & my wife is a few days older Laughing Our boys got us started two summers ago. We started with a 1997 Searay Signature 190. Installed a Aerial Assault tower & a Liquid Trends tower speaker enclosure system and 2 Bazooka tubies. crazy loud syste. This spring /summer we upgraded to a 2008 Searay Sundeck200 with a tower & four Infinity 6000m Tower speakers. as a family we spend just about every weekend on the water. One of our boys blew out his ankle so his season is over & he is really upset about it. Anyway we love the sport and continue to improve with every pull.
