Fed Ex Santa dropped these off yesterday...

Slingshot Response 145 w/ Rad Bindings, Newton 142 w/ Rad bindings, Choice 137 w/ Option bindings.

Got a couple of sets on the Response yesterday. Super fast, snappy off the wake, and marshmallow soft landings. Cool Cool Cool

So, on a related note...

The Rad bindings are very comfortable but I'm just not fond of the whole liner thing and dealing with all the velcro and laces and blah blah blah. I'm seriously considering a pair of Ronix Ones. I was wondering if anyone has any firsthand experience with these bindings on a 2011 SS board? I'm concerned about the compatibility of the bindings' slotted mount working with the SS track system. Anyone?

Yeah. Who's pimpin' now? Laughing

Hilton Head Wake Sports is now a (very minor) licensed dealer for Slingshot. The Response and the Newton are for us to ride, the Choice is a demo board for customers. We have a small retail space at the charter office, most sales will probably be ordered on an as-needed basis.

I would be interested in the same thing, putting Ones on a Slingshot. I know I love my 2011 Ronix Ones, and I would definitely consider getting a Slingshot in the future.

I have the One's on my SS response - Love the set-up. I will say my response does not have the slotted set-up but I'm certain they will work.

I haven't been posting here much because I've been going 7 days a week since April with Hilton Head Wake Sports. So far, its been a great first season and the feedback has been outstanding. We are already a "Top 10" rated Hilton Head destination on Trip Advisor. Cool

Anyway, I wanted to post up a new setup. I loved my '08 Lyman 143 more than any other board I'd ever ridden. Unfortunately, it has pretty much succumbed to the last few years of hard riding and regular use. I've also lusted after the Lyman FLY since the first time I saw it, but was never able to bring myself to pull the trigger on a $700 wakeboard. Shocked

Today, I ordered a new '09 Lyman FLY 143 on EVOGEAR for $244.95! I also pulled the trigger on a pair of '11 Ronix Franks. The closed-toe Slingshots in the original post have been sold. Can't WAIT to try out this setup! Also can't wait to try those Franks on the SS Response and Newton! Cool

From wearing them around the house I'd say they're perfect. I'll know for sure after that Lyman FLY gets here tomorrow and I (hopefully soon) get a chance to test them out for real. Cool

I have always wanted to try the FLY boards. I've read threads about why they didn't catch on but I still don't understand exactly what's supposed to be wrong with them. Let me know what you think of it!
