If any one can help me with choosing a new board I would much appreciate it! My local pro shops do not do demo's so I'm looking for rider reviews and I'm having trouble finding them.

First off I'm riding an 06 CWB Marius 140, I'm looking to go to my first three stage board. I'm looking for more vertical pop off the wake. Here's my major hang up. I'm 6'4, 200lbs. I'm looking to widen my stance so I don't want to go any shorter than a 144. I've narrowed it down to four boards. If anyone has any input on these boards it would be much appreciated!!! Oh I ride wake only no cable parks around these parts!!! Thank you so much

Ronix one 146

Ronix Ibex 144

Ronix Viva 144

Hyperlite B side 144

Guys I'm sure you get these which board to buy questions a lot. Sorry to be the next guy to ask the same question. I had one more thing to add, I'm not opposed to Sling Shot boards either, I just know nothing on flex boards or how the well they are for strictly wake! Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Muchos gracies

Hey Ryan,

Welcome to WB.com Like you said, there are threads like this every day. Generally you'll get as many opinions as there are boards. Since you can't demo, read up what you can about each board and pick the one you want.

If you had to pick just one of those RIGHT NOW, which one would it be? There's your answer. Mr. Green

Hey thanks bud, Just one question. Are slingshot/other flex boards good for just boat riding? Only reason I ask is because when I read about it, they say yes. My pro shop says, not so much. Thats the only reason I posted. I just get conflicting answers sometime. Buy like you said, there are as many opinions as there are boards Thanks very much for your time!

Oh by the way, If I had to pick one right now it would be a tie between the Bside and the One. decisions decisions!!! Shocked

This is a question that the industry is still trying to resolve. There isn't a consensus. The proponents and manufactures of flex boards swear their boards are better than stiff boards behind the boat. Others aren't convinced.

One thing you should be aware of is that there is an emerging class of "hybrid" boards. These are stiffer than most flex boards, which helps their pop off the wake, but still flexy enough to be fun and absorb some of the shock of landing. Examples include the LF Watson Hybrid, the Slingshot Hooke, and the O'brien Paradigm, to name a few.

You'll get all the opinions you could ever want and more on flex boards behind the boat right here:

Ok thanks for the link. reading that just made me wanna take nap!!! Although I will say my decision just got a little harder. I will be doing a little more reading on Sling Shot, I know they have longer boards that will accommodate my lanky arse!
Thank you for your time and help,
very much appreciated
Very Happy
