Board and bindings help

Hey guys. I was wondering if I could get some pointers for what board and bindings I should get. I was thinking the Hyperlite State with Remix bindings. What do u think of that board? Anybody have it?

It is going to be for both me and my brother. He is 120lbs I'm 95lbs - What size should we get to fit both of us?

I wear a size 6 and he wears a size 8 shoe. Should we get the mini remix bindings??

I don't know much about the state, but I ride with a kid who has it and he likes it very much. I'm told it's a directional board that is shaped to make toeside edging easier at the expense of heelside edging, like the Ronix Vault. If you two are beginners or struggle with toeside edging, this might be a nice feature to have.
