I'v got sovens '10. Really good hold of the foot, comfortable on landings, nice control of the board, thou there is an issue... The white material on both sides of the boot on which the straps are fixed (and are supposed to be adjusted lower or higher) tend to tear out from the stich, so I had to go to shoe-fix-service and ask to unstich it, take the material away and saw the straps right to the boot (without the possibility of lower-higher adjustment, but the problem is solved)... If not that issue I would rate the boot 9/10 =)

I have the new Watsons and really like them. Comfy, light & supportive. My only issue is the laces are really thin and tend to slip through the little tightener and get loose. I replaced them with the laces from old pair and now they stay much tighter.

I'm always on here talking about how nice the Harleys are. They're very supportive and cushy, but there's enough flex in the ankle to do a nice poke or save your knees on an awkward landing. The laces are very tough. I can crank them down and they never tear. I've heard the Harleys are very similar to the Watsons, but I've never tried the Watsons. The Harleys are not quite as stiff as the Sovens, but close.

The new sovens look extra sick, and I like a lot of support in my bindings. The only thing I dnt trust is the velcro I feel like it would stop working with all that water

Watsons are the way to go if you're looking for maximum support for your ankles. Sovens are more comfortable, but if you're looking for comfy bindings also check out the Ultra's. They look absolutely sick on the Witness too.

I ride the 2011 Sovens and they are very comfortable and very supportive. The velcro straps have no problems staying on and tight. I push both straps down as far as they will go when I ride for better ankle support but still allows some movement. Thought I broke my lower leg on an awkward fall with the straps pulled to the top because of the extra stiffness. Nonetheless great boots if you like stiff. Also you rarely will ever come out on a fall, probably the reason the bases are warped on mine Confused

I have only used LF bindings a couple of times but I had no issue with them. I personally prefer O'Brien and I'm guilty of being brand loyal, but the LF bindings I rode were pretty solid.

I've got the 2011 LF Shanes. They are the best bindings I've ever ridden. Most of my friends bought them after riding mine.
