I'm hoping to make the July, September, and October stops of the Gravel Tour at O-dub. It will be my first contest(s): SO STOKED. Is anyone else competing in these events? Do you have any experience with it? What's it like?

I havn't made it out to one this year but my friend who competed in the first one this year said it was pretty unorganized so he's not gonig back. Now he competes at the cable qualifier every Tuesday night. Made it to one of those and it's pretty laid back.

Hmm, unorganized sounds more chill to me. Maybe I'll like that. A relaxed atmosphere might take some of the pressure off.

Could be bad though...Specifics?

what did he think was unorganized? One of my friends daughters is riding in it and when I went I thought it was one of the smoothest running comps I'd been to. Classes were going through quick and results were announced right after the class ran instead of at the end of the day like a lot of other comps.

It could be great, like I said, I wasn't there and maybe it got better after the first one. Hopefully I can make it to the next one and post an update.
