I just landed my tantrum about a week or two ago, but I don't think I have the balls to try the raley yet Embarassed. I'm working on a lot of spins right now, namely my toe 360, a switch heel 360, a regular heel 360, and a switch heel backside 180. Dunno if you're interested in those.

If you wanna do something toeside, you might wanna try a scarecrow. I'm told it's easier than a simple frontroll because you get to land heelside, but I haven't tried it yet.

I think the biggest surprise for me when I threw my first tantrum was how easy the tripping motion at the wake was. I thought that's what would throw me backwards, but it's really just squaring up and facing the shore so that you flip straight over instead of sideways as you would on a heelside front flip. Don't sweat the trick itself. Just do a freakin' backflip like you would on a trampoline. It's really that simple.

The most important key to landing them for me has been keeping the handle in. Really jam your lead forearm into your shoulder like you're flexing your bicep. Hold the handle in close so that you have enough slack to let it out and catch yourself on a sketchy landing without getting pulled out.

Also, when I did my first one, I was getting no pop. I still cleared the wake, but it didn't look cool. To get straight up pop, you really have to wait until the last few inches at the top of the wake to throw the trick and then pop like you would on a heelside wake jump. It's a little scary and it requires some discipline, but it will boost you straight up and make the trick a lot easier and a lot steezier.

It's really quite an easy trick. All you need to do it is a solid heelside wake jump. Don't over-think it. Good luck!

all of his info is good stuff...some other things that helped me....i was really trying to force the trip and kept getting off edge therefore not getting any pop...so keep your progressive edge as long as possible and then at the very top of the wake square your shoulders up to the wake and look over your back shoulder so you don't rotate
