ticking noises are annoying

Ticking noise could be depth sounder. It was on my boat.

im pretty sure the sound is from the alternator, but I dont know what I would need to do to get that noise to stop, I tried installed a noise filter on the back of the head unit but that didnt help

Does the rate of the tick rise and fall with speed?

Does the voltage drop randomly or on cue? Your alternator may not have enough amperage to push to 2 batteries. May need to get a more powerful alternator or get a battery isolator.

Make sure the speaker wires don't run close to other wires. I know on my boat I ran the tower lights and the speakers up the same side, this caused interference. I ran the lights up one side and speakers up the other and it fixed it.
