|
|
Would there be any issues pairing some '07 Watson bindings with an '09 Watson board? I thought I read somewhere that LF changed the hole spacing on the '09 which will limit options on older boots.
Anyone have any knowledge on that? I only have one season on my bindings (knee surgery), so not ready to replace them just yet. _________________ "You know what those things can do? Suck the paint off your house and give your family a permanent orange afro." |

More than likely the 07 bindings have the 8 inch plate, and the 09 has the 6 inch drilled holes for the mounting. I'd limit you to only being able to use the middle stance I believe.
Almost anything prior to 08 is going to be geared for the 8 inch plate (with the exception of a few of the higher end boots/boards that may have switched sooner). |

Well, that blows. Make this whole thing quite a bit more expensive. _________________ "You know what those things can do? Suck the paint off your house and give your family a permanent orange afro." |

| I have some 2010 Vantage bindings on an old 2005 LF board that I use for a slider setup and a community board behind the boat. The bindings fit, but like twolfcorner2009 said, it limits your stance options. If I remember correctly, looking at the left bindings, the inner mount is in the leftmost hole of the 4-pattern, and the outer mount reaches only to the second hole of the outer 4-pattern. This is as wide as I could get it. It really depends on whether you need that wider stance or can settle for a stance set more towards the middle. |

damn... i didnt really think about this. Will '07 watson boots be compatible with a 2011 watson classic? I assume they will, but will just limit my stance, as mentioned above. _________________ '06 LF Substance, Soon to be a 2011 Watson Classic!

| craZywakeboardererer, Compatible? yes, but with limited stance options. Likely just the middle stance width as mentioned above. |
