Now, i'm not the biggest cable rider, but this site really should have a seperate cable section. The cable scene is blowing up, I know people are going to want to talk about it. Post replies if you agree so a mod can hopefully spot this and make some moves.

This site has been kind of dead for a while... let's get it going again! I LOVE WAKEBOARDING

I haven't been able to get to a cable park, but I would definitely agree that there should be a cable park section. It will make it easy to communicate.

if any of you ever get the chance to ride cable, DO IT. It's a whole different style of riding, and its really awesome to feel out the differences. Knowing how to ride cable also increaces your diversity as a rider, and will help you progress overall

why segregate? I've never ridden cable and would like to...but I like that I can see everything on one page rather then having to go to separate forum

^^^ thats exactly what i mean. "general wakeboarding discussion" is a bit broad. if someone wants to know more about cable riding, it will be under a "cable" section

I could see it if this place moved as fast as wake world where threads get bumped off the front page in a day. I read threads about cable in this section even though I don't ride cable. If it had it's own section I wouldn't even open it, kind of like the skate and surf sections.

It would see more traffic than the winching section. there's only like 3 of us who are in that one. I think it might be a good idea moving forward since cable is becoming more and more common and available to riders throughout the world.

BrianABE, Give it time. Cables are popping up everywhere. There are at least two or three more that should be open or close by year's end throughout the country and I guarantee more on the way.

definitely think it would be worth a try as a different forum within the wakeboarding section of the forums. If it didn't get much traffic, they could just move it back into general like all the threads about cable now. Can't wait to head to the cable park when I get a free weekend!

Don't really think it needs a different section. It's funny the different worlds we live in. I only get to ride cable seeing as I don't have a boat. You'll struggle first few times at the park, but it's Hella fun, like a skate park on the water! hits an entire different set of muscles too. Go Shred!

Im heading over to Dubai tonight, and hitting the cable park in Abu Dhabi Tomorrow! Cant wait! last time was my first cable ride and it was so much fun. Definitely a different sport in my opinion.

Ill have to take some pics and post them in the new cable section... Wink
