I was getting a massage today and I was reminded of an episode of "Friends" so I thought I would pose a little question to the fellas of wb.com:

When getting a massage from a licensed professional (i.e. not a hooker), would you be OK if the massage therapist was a guy?

some women have damn strong hands too, i bruise most times i go for a sports massage, especially when they get into it with their elbows to get a knot out. definately a woman but, guys hands on me is a repulsive thought

I woudl be fine with a massage from a guy. I don't like to get massages, once all the toxins and chit is released it makes me feel like I'm going to vomit. I like the "fake" girlfriend type massages, but that's about it unless I have to go to a chiropractor.

nope, I am sorry, but I would never let a man give me a massage. I am not homophobic or anything, its just that, well, massages from a women are so much nicer. Aint no ruff hands touching me, no way no how!

Lindsay assumes that it's not sexual. The thing is: you never know. If I get a massage from a woman, 1. It seems less likely to be sexual because women are not the pigs that men are, and 2. Even if she does get turned on, at least she's "the right gender" so that's not so bad...much better than a gay dude rubbing you and getting turned on.

I guess if there was some way to 100% guarantee that the dude had no gayness whatsoever, I might change my mind but that's impossible anyway.

At my workplace, a male massage therapist comes in once a month to give free massages or neck rubs or something to the employees. I always pass. I may be a homophobe, but I would just be so uncomfortable that the massage would do no good at all.

A good massage from a nice looking lady is always quite nice Mr. Green

It's nice to see some many homophobes still out there, it keeps locker room showers less crowded. I would guess that most of the guys that said "hell no" dont really get massages, and the one that said something sexual have never had an Asian hooker.
A male masuesse (sp) wont have rough hands, they're constantly oiled. Women hardly get turned on massaging men, cause most men w/o their shirts on are not attractive. Besides, it's work.
Massage by a guy-just keep the underwear on.

i would get the massage no problem a massage is a massage just a rub. i would feel different if i knew the guy was homosexual. if i even heard rumors or we carried on a conversation and he seemed gay i'm out. but then again i would rather share that experience with my girlfriend or wifey.

I think a neck rub at the office on one of those massage chairs is fine for a guy on guy massage. What I am talking about is lying on a bench, nothing but a towel, and having some guy poor hot oil on you and start rubbing your legs, feet, arms, back, lower back! I am not ok with letting a guy rub the back of my thighs!

I've had male physical therapists give me massages a few times. It's no big deal and it sure helped my knee problems a ton. It was business. I've also had women physical therapists do it. I fell asleep the last time I had one from a girl. Now if I wanted a relaxing massage I would probably choosea girl but for therapy I couldn't care less.

This is an interesting topic.....It's always much nicer to get a massage from the opposite sex.
From all ther massages I have rec'd, Majority of females have a better "sense of touch"...ie finding all the trigger point/"knots" and understanding how much pressure to apply.
I have to admit I don't like to have a female masseuse, but all the guys that I've had a massage from don't have a happy medium with their sense of touch.

My wife is a massage therapist, When she was in school, I volunteered as a test subject and there were a couple girls and one guy doing various techniques on my neck and back.. it wasnt too bad. But I definitly like girls better.

Dlady, you just haven't had the right fella give the massage. Too bad, 12 years ago it might've been possible.

Having been heavily involved w/sports in HS, College and beyond, I've found men do a better job at massage/therapy. When you need that traps loosened, nothing like a fella who knows what he's doing. Then again, I'm talking about a needed massage, not one for self indulgence. Self indulgence massages are always better by the opposite, great looking sex. Rolling Eyes
